Welcome to Mrs. Pastor's classroom homepage.

The students are presently studying industrial Massachusetts. They are learning about changes in where people lived and worked during the Industrial Revolution, as well as changes in how things were made. Students explore the lives of women and children that enter the workforce. They further examine the impact of immigration on our growing country. This is a period of inventions and machines; students study inventors who contributed to these revolutionary changes. Students will participate in an Invention Convention, where they try to solve a problem with an invention of their own. This is a festive day when third graders share their ideas and projects with each other and with first graders as well.

We look forward to continuing our learning in third grade as the pace quickens during the New Year. Thank you for all you do to support the learning that happens during this critical year.
