During the first week of each school year orientation visits are scheduled. Throughout the remainder of the year each class meets four days a week, Monday through Thursday. The exact hours of operation may vary year to year. During the 2005-2006 school year the sessions will meet at the following times: Morning Class: 9:00 to 11:45am Afternoon Class: 12:45 to 3:30pm [ top ] Eligibility Students developing in a typical manner must be 3 years old by September 1st. Students identified with special education needs may be placed at the Preschool throughout the school year. [ top ] Tuition *       Tuition is based on a sliding fee scale *       The maximum fee is $265 per month for the 2005-2006 school year, projected to increase to $275 for 2006-2007 school year *       For more information, contact Carol Huebner The Acton Public Schools Preschool is one of the schools participating in the Community Partnerships for Children program. This program provides tuition subsidies for the children of working parents. The goal is provide access to quality early childhood programs for all children. Openings are often available throughout the school year so it is best to contact Carol Huebner to be sure. [ top ] Closings When the Acton Public Schools are closed due to snow/poor weather, etc. the Preschool will be closed. If there is a delayed opening the morning sessions will not meet; however, the afternoon sessions will meet. On rare occasions if school is canceled during the school day, the afternoon sessions will be canceled. The school staff or room parents will contact parents/guardians if this occurs.
