Bulldozer, Paver and Crane so tall; Flatbed, Dumptruck and Wrecking Ball!
We had another great week learning more about construction tools and trucks. We found out that they all have to work together to build new buildings and roads.  Just like the friends and teachers in our classroom, they are a team that work together to get the job done.  We had fun trying out some construction trucks from Shelagh and Julie’s rooms and using our strong hands and stencils to make our own vehicles.  On Buddy Day, we did an observational drawing of our beans and flower seeds.  We were amazed that some have already sprouted!  We saw some stems, leaves, roots and sprouts.  We are going to do two more observations to add to our planting journal and then bring home the journals and plants for our home gardens.  We finished up our special Mother’s Day gifts and can’t wait to help our moms open them on Sunday.   Every day we’re getting more excited seeing all of our fieldtrip permission slips come in and today we got to see the books that we will be donating to the library.  We also spent some time reading through a social story that Shelagh wrote for us about our train fieldtrip.  We thought of some questions we might want to know about our trip and also learned what might be the same and different about our day.  We will have lots of adults and parents with us that day and we know that we will all have a great time!   This week we’ve had some more visitors from the elementary schools as they get ready to welcome us to kindergarten!  Moms, please make sure to check backpacks to find your special Mother’s Day presents.  May you all have a wonderful and relaxing Mother’s Day!
