Welcome to Fourth Grade!
I am looking forward to meeting you on the first day of school. You are probably wondering which supplies you should bring, so here is a short list. You will need other materials as the weeks go by, so this is just to get you started:
1. A dozen #2 pencils
2. A set of Crayola markers (the thinner ones are best)
3. A plastic-covered take-home folder
4. A pair of scissors
5. A plastic ruler
6. A yellow or orange highlighter
7. A box of Clorox wipes for the classroom
8. A pump-type container of hand soap for the classroom
9. A pencil sharpener with its own container for the shavings
10. A zipper pouch to keep many of the above items from falling out of your desk :)
Homework
Each week you will be given a packet of work. Most work will be due on Friday. Some of the work has specific due dates. The first sheet of your packet is a calendar so you will know exactly what to do. Even if it is not written on the calendar, you are required to read for at least 20 minutes every day at home.
Our Classroom
A clean room is a happy room. Sometimes our classroom gets messy with all sorts of projects, and it's important to clean up afterwards. Each student has a job to do to help out. Keeping the room neat and clean is as important as doing your classwork and homework.
