GRADING POLICY
1. All Term Grades are based on a formula of 2 / 3 Tests and Quizes and 1 / 3 Homework and Classwork.
2. The Test and Quiz Grade is computed on a "Total Points" basis.
All graded assignments are assigned a point value. Your term percentage grade is computed by dividing your earned points by the possible total.
Tests, quizes, term papers, short reports, essays, worksheets, etc. are all included in this grade.
3. The Homework and Classwork portion of the grade is calculated as follows:
Homework equals 1 / 6 ---Was the assignment turned in? Was it on time?Did you attempt to complete the work as assigned?
Classwork equals 1 / 6 ---Are you on time to class, prepared to work? Do you participate in class being attentive, taking notes, asking & answering questions? Do you contribute to a positive class atmosphere?
4. Extra Credit is generally not a factor in term grades. When it is available, it is added to to the point total prior to calculating the grade.
