•PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES:
New England Music Camp - A GREAT summer music camp based in Maine. I went here as a camper for many years and also worked here as a counselor. See Ms. Moss for more information.
Youth Pro Musica - Greater Boston Youth Chorus - A choral ensemble that educates young people in musicianship and choral singing. Members come from over twenty communities in Greater Boston and include over fifty girls and boys in grades 3 through 12. An audition is required to participate.
1) Singers (ages 8-11)
2) Youth Chorus (ages 10-14)
3) Young Men’s Chorus (changing to changed voices grs. 7-12)
4) Young Women’s Chorus (grs. 9-12)
Music theory classes and tickets to H&H Symphony concerts included free of charge. Classes/rehearsals at Boston Latin School (ample parking, easy T-access), regular performances at Cutler Majestic Theatre and Symphony Hall. VAP High School Soloists (20 scholarships, financial need based) offer private vocal instruction and masterclasses at N.E. Conservatory.
AKA Fellas - 12 Man Acappella group for ages 14 - 18. Performs jazz, ballads, rock.
PALS Girl Choir - Girls choir for ages 14 - 18. Performs world, folk, classical and pop.
Indian Hill Music - Offering private lessons, classes, workshops, ensembles for all ages
Masterworks Chorale - An auditioned adult choir based out of Lexington, MA. Check out their open summer sings for a chance to read through a major choral work.
Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award - The goal of the Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award is to identify and nurture talented young musicians whose lack of financial resources might otherwise hinder their progress. Approximately 25 student musicians will be selected annually to receive Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Awards. Each of these students will:
1. Receive $10,000 to support his/her education and artistic development (including tuition, training, equipment)
2. Perform on a live taping of From the Top's National Public Radio show; and
3. Participate in a Cultural Leadership workshop to create &implement his/her own performance outreach activity.
Eligibility is limited to pre-college classical musicians (ages 8-18). Student applicants must be interested in appearing on From the Top's popular National Public Radio show, and demonstrate:
1. Exceptional musical talent;
2. Unmet financial need; and
3. Strong academic achievement.

Emusic Theory - Provides online tools for teachers and students of basic music theory. Free Drills.
The Characteristics of Keys - A translation of Christian Schubart's 1810 theorem on the 'moods' and 'characteristics' of specific keys/tonalities in music.\
Bobby McFerrin - Such a cool website! Try the "sing and play with Bobby" feature.

Rehearsal Arts - This website features mp3 files to help you practice your indiviudal parts for major choral works. Ex. Fauré Requiem, Handel's Messiah, etc.
•PERFORMER WEBSITES: These groups have either visited or worked with some of our students.
Firedrill! - Professional Boston-based male a cappella group. Nate Altimari who sings with this group has given workshops at AB.
SoCalVoCals - College mixed-voice a cappella group from the University of Southern California who performed for us in the 06-07 school year.
MIT Logarhythms- College all male a cappella group from the MIT who performed for us in the 06-07 school year and gave a great masterclass with our a cappella groups.
Last Call - College all male a cappella group from the Cornell Univsersity who will visit us in October 2007. Brian Herdeg, AB music alum, sings in this group.
•RECORDING POSSIBILITIES:
