ANCIENT CIVILIZTION RESEARCH PAPER TIMELINE & GUIDELINES
These guidelines are for you to refer to over the next five weeks as you work on your research paper. There are two goals for this paper:
1. to utilize the research paper skills learned in class by producing a well researched and written paper at home
2. to investigate an ancient civilization of personal interest and to report on it so that others may learn from your work
TIMELINE:
Week 1: 4/28-5/2 o Review assignment
o Find additional resources
o Begin research and create question outline
o Question Outline DUE on 5/2
Week 2: 5/5-5/9 o Create 4-5 Work Cited Cards
o Research & take notes
o Complete at least 12 note cards
o Work Cited Cards & 12 note cards DUE on 5/9
Week 3: 5/12-5/16 o Continue research and note taking
o Begin rough draft
o All note cards (minimum of 24) DUE on 5/16
Week 4: 5/19-5/23 o Complete rough draft
o Rough draft DUE on 5/23
Week 5: 5/26-5/29 o Revise and edit your rough draft
o Create a bibliography
o Add a title page, any extras, and place in a presentation folde
o Complete, final paper DUE on 5/29
