In the News...
We have loved learning about the people, the land, the culture and the literature of Kenya. When we return from vacation we'll learn about some animals that are native to this African nation. Stay tuned for an important research assignment your second grader will do in March!
The Iditarod is coming! Iditarod XXXVIII begins on March 6, and you all know what that means to me. I'll begin getting the racing fans in Room 6 revved up beginning March 1. It's a beautiful thing to learn so much doing something so tremendously fun.
On Tuesday, March 2, Conant School will celebrate Read Across America day, as is our custom. This is Dr. Seuss' birthday, and we will fete him by celebrating reading all day! Details to follow.
We love Book Club Lunch! Each Wednesday Mrs. Tsacoyeanes invites a group of six readers to share lunch and good books. Remember to check your child's backpack each Monday to see if it is his/her special week! On that day, your child will need to bring a lunch from home, as we don't want to miss a moment of booktalk due to children needing to buy lunches. Thanks!
