Overview: This Webquest will guide you through a review of MCAS related topics for the Science and TechnologyEngineering assessment portion of the 5th grade MCAS. Students in the fifth grade are tested on curriculum materials learned from second grade on. This Webquest will provide you opportunities to activate your prior knowledge to support this particular MCAS assessment. Some topics you will be learning about: Soil Weather Photos from: www.educationallearninggames.com, soils.usda.gov, www.hpc.ncep.noaa.gov Introduction:  You are going to be a Science Detective and take on a particular role to help your group learn about a science topic. You will need to work quickly as you have only three weeks to research, organize and prepare your data. You should choose your role during a group meeting before starting your research. You may visit any of the button bars, but you would be best to first go in this order: Task, Process, Resources, Evaluation, and Conclusion.
